Bookish Siblings Tag

12:30 AM

Hi guys! So last month I was tagged by Erika @ Books, Stars, and The Pages in Between and I just managed to post this now! I have one sister and she's pretty much my best friend and worse enemy. We fight a lot, but we also have so much fun together. I guess that's just how sisters roll ;)

If having real-life siblings is so much fun, imagine having your favorite fictional characters as your siblings! I'm really excited for this so let's jump right in!

Rules:
1. Answer all the questions. Repetition is fine.
2. You can put yourself in any of the categories.
3. Tag others!
4. Fill in the categories with bookish characters! The characters don't have to be sibling-esque. If you don't know, for example, you can say "A character that *insert description* I can't stand is ____"

Your Older Brother

Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. He's acting like he doesn't care, so I could do anything I like, but mess with me and he would bite your heads off! He's just soooo protective with his loved ones! I really should get back to watching TVD.

Your Younger Brother

Nico di Angelo. I'd love to have him as my younger brother. He's just so complex and unpredictabe. And having a younger brother that could call an army of the dead? That's so cool!

Your Sister

Bianca di Angelo obviously. Or maybe Zoe Nightshade? Oh wait...

Nah kidding. But I'd love them as my sisters though.

The Popular One

Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices. No one could resist the Herondales charm. And he's smart. And funny. And a fighter. He's a complete package.

Parents' Favourite

Harper Price form Rebel Belle. She's also a complete package. Valedictorian, head of student council, she's pretty, she's polite, she joined the cotillion. She's all parents dream daughter.

The Little Rebel

Nikolai Lantsov from The Grisha series. He's not exactly little, but he's definitely a rebel.

Your Twin

I would say Isabelle Lightwood. I'm not as badass as her, but I think it's going to be interesting to have her as my twin sister and just have fun with boys and shopping and hunting demons! p.s why can't we have alexandra daddario as Izzy in the tv show? i don't hate emeraude, but it would be fun to watch the interactions between daddario siblings!

The One You Can't Stand

Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments. She's just too whiny and bratty and would risk literally everything for Jace. Jace this, Jace that. If she's my sister I would have to listen her talking about Jace ALL THE TIME.

The One You Could Prank the World With

Puck from Iron Fey series. He's like the joker, so we'd definitely had fun doing pranks.

The Shy Introvert

Jem Carstairs from The Infernal Devices. He'll be one of those popular boys because he's just so unapproachable. Too mysterious and shy.

Your Ultimate Book Sibling

I'd say the Salvatores. I'd love to have those laid-back but dangerously protective older brothers, who I could have fun with and I could count on when I need them. We'll just pretend that the picture above is them watching you on prom. Damon wants to bit your date and Stefan is pretty much confused if he should be happy or worried.

Your Blogging Sibling

Hmm I don't think I have any. I'm not super close with any bloggers. But I'd love to have one though!

  1. LOL omg, I totally agree with you on Clary - the one in the TV series is even worse than the books! xD I didn't know the guy that plays Alec is Daddario's brother haha. Wow. This was such a fun tag! :)

    1. Yes I just don't get how Clary could get more annoying, but she could because the tv show Clary is much worse. Not because I dislike Kat, but because the writer makes her looks like she doesn't care about the shadow world and only want to save her mother. She puts The Lightwoods in a hard position and she doesn't even care. She would raise hell if she could. That's just so ignorant.

  2. This tag seems like so much fun! Ooo, I never thought about having Alexandra Daddario as Isabelle. I'd love to see that now that you've mentioned it. You're so right about Clary though! While reading TMI, I didn't really notice, but afterwards, I can't even handle it. XD

    1. Alexandra was amazing as Annabeth, so I'm really curious about her as Isabelle! I know! I didn't notice it too through the first few books, but the last two or three books... by the angel Clary could just go away and I won't even care!

  3. This is such a cool tag! The funny thing is, I liked Clary while I was reading the book, but in retrospect, not so much. Isabelle, though, is always perfection. And you really should get back into TVD--it is pretty good this season. Also, you can totally sign me up to be your blogging sibling ;)

  4. This is such a cute tag! And oh my goodness, YES to Clary! I could live without her. But I do love Isabelle! OH and Nikolai is SUCH a good choice! I adored him in the Grisha series! I wish he'd get a spinoff or something ;) Great choices!

  5. This is such a cool tag! I definitely agree with most of them! Clary is so annoying! She was bearable for the first couple of books, but once we hit City of Fallen Angels, it was a big NO. Yay, Jem and Nico! And also Nikolai! Awesome choices!

  6. OMG, I HATED CLARY SO MUCH TOO!! She was SO ANNOYING, and I hated the way she always needed Jace to save her. Isabelle Lightwood would be the most amazing sister! She's so badass, and she'd be so much fun. Will Herondale would be super popular too! :D

    1. I know right?? I hate that she started this series as this strong girl trying to save her mother and fight her father but as the series progressed all she could think of is "jace this and jace that" UGH.

  7. This seems like such a fun tag. I am so happy to find someone else who doesn't like Clary - that girl is sooooooooo annoying!!! I am only two books in but I just can't stand her, she drives me completely crazy.

    that is all.

LOL. I loved this post, I really want to do this tag actually. I agree with you about Clary Frey though, I wasn't too bothered about her either way in the books, but then I started watching the Shadowhunters series and started to really dislike her...

  10. Ha! Aww this was such a cute tag. I loved all your character choices (I didn't know a few but the ones I did were spot on). Lmaoo I would totally love the Salvatore brothers as my brothers. Their protectiveness is so awesome to me - they'd do anything for the ones they love. Wonderful post! c:

  11. This is such a cute tag, i swear! I enjoyed reading it. I have to agree that Clary Fray just wasn't an impressive kind of protagonist for me, that's why i didn't really enjoy Mortal Instruments as much as my friends did. BUT WOW THAT PHOTO OF PUCK IS <3 <3 HAHA. In other words, I like your choices and I am familiar with half the ones you mentioned ^_^
