He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

Guys. GUYS. That was awesome. I loved every second of it! It's just such a perfect, bad-ass conclusion to the Legend trilogy.

"They will kill you." He draws closer. His eyes beg me to listen. "Please."
I shake my head. "I'm staying right here. The people don't need their morale crushed any further."

First of all, I love how high the stakes are in this book. From the first chapter, we're dealing with the fact that Day is dying. Then at the second chapter we learn that there's an outbreak in the Colonies, they're in the brink of war unless the Republic could provide the cure. And the cure is posibly in Eden's blood. I mean, everything June and Day has ever fought for in Legend and Prodigy; the Republic, their family, justice, the people, it's all in war worse danger. Because war is coming, and the Colonies has backup, and the Republic will definitely lose this war. Everything they ever fight for will be for nothing if they couldn't find the solution.

“You drive me insane June. You're the scariest, most clever, bravest person I know, and sometimes I can't catch my breath because I'm trying so hard to keep up. There will never be another like you. You realize that, don't you? Billions of people will come and go in this world, but there will never be another like you.”

The romance doesn't take over the main plot about war. June and Day are strong characters. They are strong and able to do things to protect those they hold dear. They don't let their romance clouded their decision, they put their fight first, then their feelings.  They love the Republic. They would fight for it with everything they have. AND THE FEELS OMG. They have to make A LOT of difficult decision in this book, they have to fight for the country and fight for each other and Day is dying and everything is amazing and hurts at the same time *cries*

I love how June and Day don't fight against the goverment, they actually work together with them to make a better Republic. And Anden is a really good person, really, that I feel bad for him. He really wants to make Republic a better place, to find a solution without war, and I feel like people don't appreciate him enough.

And also let's don't forget about how "tough" this book feels for me. It's just so military-ish (what is the word guys??? halp.) and full of politics and other intrigue. Running the country, or a rebel group, or organizing a rebellion is never as easy as it seems.

“Hi,” he says. “I’m Daniel.”
“Hi,” I reply. “I’m June.”

This sounds like a normal, typical review for you guys, BUT TRUST ME I TRY SO HARD TO CONTROL MY SELF TO WRITE A COHERENT REVIEW. I love it so so so much guys! If you haven't read this book, just read it soon! It's so fantastic and leave you with so many feels!

    1. It is! I love how after all this time they still think of each other. It's just adorable and bittersweet at the same time!

  3. 1. HI THERE! It's fine! I'm actually happy talk to you, it's always nice meeting someone that has same interest with you! :)

  4. I LOVED THIS CONCLUSION AS MUCH AS IT BROKE MY HEART! I just... It is a great balance of a loving relationship and a bad ass militaryish (really, there HAS to be a better word) theme. I am just so sad still that it is over, but I love your review :D

    1. YES yes militaryish is the word I'm looking for Erin (even though idk if that's a real word!) Me too! I want a spin off, especially about Anden and Matthias. I feel like they deserve their own book, because they're just so nice!

  5. I feel like this was the strongest book in the series for me. I had been "eh" with the first book, but this one was really good. I agree with you, it DID feel like a tough book! Lovely review, I am so glad you loved it!

    1. Thank you! This is definitely a series that keeps getting better with each book :)

  6. OHMYGOSH THIS BOOK. It completely broke me, seriously. And it's absolutely one of my all time favourite novels because it i just PERFECT. I literally adored every single moment of it, and I'm so glad you feel the same way!

Day broke my heart, though. At one point I was crying so hard that I couldn't even see the words on the pages. Which is a huge deal because I NEVER cry in books.

Ah, I wish I could experience this book for the first time again! I should actually re-read it soon. It's been too long.

    Lovely review! <3

(Also I think the word you were looking for is militant ^.^)

    1. I know! Day is not selfish at all! He's thinking about Eden, about June, about the people, but not once, he ever thinks about himself:') Oooh yess I think militant is the word, thank you so much!
