June Wrap Up and May TBR

12:30 PM

I know I said this a lot, but HOW COME WE'RE OVER THE 6TH MONTH?? It feels like 2007 is only yesterday! It's supposed to be Summer in my country but let me tell you, it's been gloomy and rainy almost everyday. I don't mind though, rainy days are the best days to sleep and read ;)

Remember when I said I want to slow down my reading this month? HA. It doesn't happen. I guess it's because I just have too much free time.
  1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald // ✰
  2. The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan //
  3. The Whispering of Trees {ARC} by C.Y Bourgeois // ✰
  4. Vicious by V.E Scwhab // ✰✰✰✰✰
  5. Aristotle and Dante Discover Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz// ✰✰✰✰
  6. Peter Pan by J.M Barrie // ✰✰✰✰
  7. Every Falling Star {ARC} by Lee Sung Ju // ✰✰✰✰
  8. Spellcaster {re-read} by Claudia Grey // ✰✰
  9. A Thousand Salt Kisses {ARC} by Josie Delmuth // ✰✰✰.5
  10. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater // ✰✰✰✰.5
I also read 2 books of Tintin when I was having a sleepover at my friend's house. Oh well. There's no such thing as too much reading, right?

I'm trying to mix some genre, but still trying to conquer contemporary this month.
  1. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
  2. Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Caroll
  3. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
  4. London Belong to Us by Sarra Manning
  5. The Game of Love and Death by Marta Brockenbrough

  • The Cursed Child plot is here feel free to read it, unless you dislike spoiler! There are things that I like, but the plot overall makes me unhappy...
  • And other than that, this month sucks because so.many.deaths. Christina's death took me by surprise, I'm not her fan but I heard some of her songs through Youtube. I thought no one do that anymore??? The last one was what, The Beatles??? The Orlando shooting really makes me rage. IT'S 2016. WHY WOULD YOU STILL DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT? It's hate crime, it's homophobic, and anyone said otherwise have no sympathy at all. Also the Disney World accident? That's truly terrifying. I think I'll stay out amusement park for a while now. I won't comment on brexit (I'm not british, I have no right to comment anything), but I do know the HUGE impact it will have to our world.
  • I watched S1 of The Royals and S4 & 5 of Supernatural. On the other note, I have to sadly said that I'm done with Teen Wolf. I try to watch S5B and just can't get into it. I just don't care anymore with the characters. It just doesn't feel the same without Allison, Derek, Isaac, and it's more Teen Supernatural than Teen Wolf. Also too much slow motion and "break dancing" (aka fighting) scene for me...
  • So... the state university test... well I didn't get it. I'm pretty sad, but I learn to be ok with it. I believe dentistry isn't for me, and there are a lot of other more skilled dentist on the way that deserves my place. I also believe God has plans for me other than being a dentist :)
  • I decided to cave in and created twitter.... and then I find out that literaryhuntress contains too many letters. Any idea? Help???

    1. And that cover makes you really want to read it right? ;) Yes! I mean, randomly I've watched bits and pieces from season 10, but I really want to watch everything so I decided to start over with it :D Thank you for the support :) I've change it to lithuntress, thank you so much for the suggestion! :)

  3. You read so much! <3 That's great Tasya! I read Second Chance Summer and I LOVED IT. I wish I could send you my copy so you could read it and then we can talk about it or something. Hahaha.

And I'm sorry you didn't get the state university test :( I know how you feel. I recently failed an entrance test to one of the best schools from where I am, but I learned to be alright with it because I feel like I was bound to fail that anyway. It was a huge eye-opener because it made me realize that I should work harder so I could try again next time. Sometimes it just isn't meant to be :) And yes God has plans!

  4. The world is such a crappy place sometimes. I've stopped watching the news just so it doesn't play on my mind each night, especially hearing about the Istanbul bombing. I'm so sorry you didn't get into your course sweetheart, selection processes are always difficult. But hopefully it'll lead you yo bigger and even greater things <3

    1. Ah yes the Istanbul bombing is horrible! I don't get why people let their hatred clouding everything, even make them commit mass murder?? These past years the shootings and bombings are getting more often, and it's honesty very scary. Thank you for the encouragement! :)

  5. You're totally right, you can NEVER read too many books! And I am just as horrified about all the horrible things that happened this month, Orlando especially. The hatred just baffles my mind. I feel like every day I wake up there is news of a new travesty. Anyway, I'm sorry you won't be able to become a dentist, but I'm sure you will find a passion that you love even more, and maybe one where you won't chance being bitten! ❤

    1. Me too! I can't believe someone can hate that much to kill all those people. Call me naive, but I still can't believe it. Haha thank you! At least my hands and fingers are free from danger of being bitten!

  6. Wow you read a lot this past month! I've only read two of the books you mentioned (The Great Gatsby and The Titan's Curse), but I will definitely check out some of the other ones! I hope you read and enjoy Crown of Midnight!!! I don't know how much you liked Throne of Glass, but I liked Crown of Midnight significantly more than book 1. Also, thanks for mentioning one of my posts! :)

I can definitely relate in terms of your twitter dilemma. My blog is Literary Legionnaire, so I have the same issue with the number of letters.

And I hope you find something you'll love even more than dentistry.
