Summer Bingo Checklist

12:30 PM

3 months ago, I participated in the Spring bingo,  and while I didn't do really great, I really really enjoyed it. So I decided to join the Summer bingo, with a mission to cross every single box. As you can see, I failed. I'm 2 boxes short, and even though I already plan those books, I just can't get to them on time. College turns out to take a lot of time, it was fun, but I barely have any time to read!

  1. Historical setting: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  2. Part of a 4+ series: The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan
  3. Magic: The Whispering of Trees by C.Y Bourgeouis
  4. Red cover: Vicious by V.E Schwab
  5. M/M romance: Aristotle and Dante Discover Secrets of the Universe by Benjamine Alire Saenz
  6. 2016 debut: Every Falling Star by Sungju Lee
  7. Starts with S: Spellcaster by Claudia Gray
  8. Water on the cover: A Thousand Salt Kisses by Josie Delmuth
  9. Outdoors: London Belongs to Us by Sarra Manning
  10. Free: Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell
  11. Folklore/Myth: The Battle of The Labyrinth by Rick Riordan
  12. Middle grade: The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
  13. PoC main character: Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough
  14. Weather Words: Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
  15. White Cover: Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix
  16. July release: City of Shadows by Pippa Da Costa
  17. Monster: The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
  18. Political Intrigue: Empire of Dust by Eleanor Herman
  19. Food on cover: Marshmallow Skye by Cathy Cassidy
  20. Yellow Cover: Miss Mayhem by Rachel Hawkins
  21. More than 500 pages: The Return of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
  22. Mental Illness: All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
  23. Name on the title: Peter Pan by J.M Barrie
I completed 23 boxes and 8 bingos.

Now this arises a question of whether I would participate in the fall bingo or not. Unfortunately, I don't think so. With college starting, I have to adjust with living alone and the college life, and while I know this is only for fun, the competitive side of me feel really pressured with this challenge. I think I would take reading easily for the rest of the year :)

  1. Oh wow, that's a crazy amount of books you read! This is such a neat thing to do. I probably never would have been able to finish even one row or column, just because I've been cleaving through my TBR and have little time to consider whether they fit into the category!

    1. Thank you! I also don't really consider what category they're in, I read first then decide later xD

  2. 8 bingos!!! That's amazing!! I missed 3 squares and got 5 bingos- those squares were really crucial hahah. I used The Raven King for Monster too :) And I think it's impressive you read so much while being in college! I hardly ever read for pleasure in college, besides rereading Harry Potter haha.
